Hello! I am a Canadian living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia, my Masters and PhD in clinical psychology at The University of Oregon, and my clinical internship in child psychiatry at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. I taught at Syracuse University for two years, prior to moving to Tulsa in 2009. I am on the faculty at The University of Tulsa, and have a small, part time private practice.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and I specialize in trauma and resilience, with special emphasis on athletes, sleep, and nightmares. I have been doing CBT-I for about 8 years and work with children as young as 5 as well as with adults. When working with children ages 5-14, it is expected that a primary caregiver will participate in treatment with the child/adolescent.

Something unique about my work, is that I have a treatment for nightmares in children. The treatment is Cognitive behavioral therapy for nightmares specifically, although I do treat insomnia and other behavioral sleep problems. I have done research in the area of sleep since about 2010, and my research has been cited by the International Olympic Committee. You can learn more about my research on my TU website.
