A psychotherapist located in midtown Manhattan, my focus is on sleep disorders and anxiety. I help people not only with standard protocols to improve sleep, but also ways to reduce their anxiety and feel physically relaxed. Using evidenced-based treatment, I help patients with difficulty falling asleep, maintaining sleep, or waking up too early. As well, I work with people suffering from nightmares, trouble using CPAP, shift work, unable to sleep until late at night or falling asleep too early in the evening.
Anxiety over relationships, career stress, medical problems and other life challenges may be hard to manage. With evidenced-based treatment, I help people cope with their anxiety for a healthier day and also better sleep.
My training includes advanced work on sleep disorders from the University of Pennsylvania and Oxford University. A clinical social worker, I received my MSW from Fordham University. I did post-graduate work in psychotherapy at the Metropolitan Institute for Training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and the William Alanson White Institute, both in New York. I attended college at the University of Chicago. Prior to work as a psychotherapist, I spent over 20 years in corporate finance, and have a CFA and an MBA from Columbia University.
I help people with insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders (falling asleep too early or too late), nightmares, and CPAP compliance. My background includes training in psychotherapy and sleep disorders.
